Dear fellow friends of Geoff and Alisa,

Many of you have asked for help deciding what to get Alisa & Geoff for their upcoming wedding. I hope you will find the following information useful. I have it on good authority that this is what they are looking for.

Please feel free to e-mail registry@bugopera.com if you have additional questions. I hope to see you on September 8.

Yours,
Brit

Like many of us, Alisa & Geoff had already accumulated many household items by the time they moved in together in 2004. Please keep in mind that, as they are moving to Vienna right after the wedding, American electrical appliances won’t be of much use to them right away.

So what to get them? They have chosen three local artisans whose work they find both beautiful and wonderfully functional:

Constance Talbot: pottery

Beverly Bowman: hand-woven linens and blankets

Milt Lanford: heirloom baskets

Contact information for the artisans is listed below. If you would prefer to order on line, please write to registry@bugopera.com, describing the desired item and how/whether you would like it shipped (all three artists work close to Greenwood, so the bridal couple can easily arrange a pick-up). The artisans will be contacted for you. You will then receive notification about how much it will cost and where to send your check.

Cooking as they did in Greenwood’s industrial kitchen, Alisa & Geoff have surprisingly few pots and pans so they have also registered at www.differentdrummerskitchen.com

Alisa and Geoff worked with Connie Talbot, a potter who produces gorgeous museum-quality work, to design their own set of porcelain place settings. A five piece set consists of a dinner plate, salad plate, dessert plate, bowl and coffee cup. You may purchase individual dishes or the entire set. (They needn’t be delivered before April ’08 because Alisa & Geoff will be in a fully-furnished apartment for their first 6 months in Vienna).
