Die Story
Eine aufmüpfige Mücke, die sich weigert, Blut zu trinken, begegnet einem Rauperich, der sein Leben genieβt wie es ist, und sein Larvenstadium nicht aufgeben möchte. Mücke hat Hunger und Raupe sucht nach dem Sinn, sich verändern zu müssen. Also machen sie sich gemeinsam auf den Weg um Antworten zu finden und begegnen dabei den verschiedensten Figuren: dem fröhlichen Mistkäfer, der Papierwespe, einem leicht unheimlichen Bücherwurm, der Luna, einem schönen Nachtfalter in Not, und der gefährlichen, glamourösen Spinne. In dieser Geschichte vom Weg zum Erwachsenwerden führen für Raupe und Mücke alle Wege zurück zu sich selbt.

Friday, November 17th, at 7:30pm at the Columbus Theater in Providence, RI Saturday, November 18th, at 7pm & Sunday, November 19th, at 3pm at Indian Hill Music, Monday, November 27th, at 7:30pm at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Amherst, MA PLEASE NOTE: Since here is limited seating at the Eric Carle Museum, please be sure to buy your tickets early.

Greenwood Workshop
EXTRA BUG OPERA WORKSHOP SCHEDULED IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS! Sunday, August 20th, 7:30 pm Greenwood Music Camp, Harlow Road, Cummington The workshop will feature excerpts taken from across the opera, with narrators filling in gaps in the story. The performers will include three members of the cast for the fall production. Additional roles and narrators will be acted by Greenwood students. Three of the selections will be performed for the first time with chamber orchestra (made up of Greenwood faculty). The workshop will offer a sample of the Bug Opera. Come hear the music and see the story performed for an audience of children aged 9-13.
